The GBOS
has been collecting information on the Osprey populations in Georgian
Bay since 1987. Over time, our members and other Bay cottagers and
residents have been able to report on the increasing numbers of
nests. This effort will continue into the future as we track the
changes in Osprey populations.

Nest Locations
The GBOS is currently trying to get GPS coordinates for all known
Osprey nests in eastern Georgian Bay. Send data on nests near you
to GBOS@xplornet.com.
Please include a description of the nest (ie. island name, bay name,
etc) and the GPS coordinates identified by type (ie. NAD-27 vs.
NAD-83). A list of the currently recorded nest locations can be
found here,
and the actual locations can be seen indicated using our Google
map of Osprey nest locations. Check
for nests near you or report
unlisted nests.
